The inaugural season of the Women’s T20 League has been concluded successfully with the Mumbai franchise turning out to be the champions by defeating Delhi by 7 wickets in the final at the Brabourne stadium on March 26th. Delhi posted 131 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, thanks to the 52-run partnership between Radha Yadav and Shikha Pandey for the last wicket that Delhi managed to get a fighting total. After that, Delhi bowlers also made Mumbai batter struggle for runs but with Nat Sciver-Brunt’s unbeaten 60 runs off 55 balls, Mumbai chased the winning total losing 3 wickets with three balls remaining to clinch the title.
Women’s T20 League has brought a revolution in Women’s cricket around the world and lots of young women cricketers will be inspired to follow their passion and be successful in their careers. The tournament has given us so many moments to celebrate and cherish. While there are also some moments that amazed every cricket around the world.
