The franchises of Mumbai and Gujarat are all set to script history as they will lock horns in the opening match of the inaugural season of the Women’s T20 League on March 4. The match will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. We will see various women cricketers across the world playing with each other in the same team.

#1 Hayley Matthews vs Ashleigh Gardner
West Indian skipper Hayley Matthews seems to be an absolute steal for the Mumbai franchise as they roped her in for INR 40 Lakh in the 2023 auction. Matthews is an explosive batter and can provide a great start to her team in the powerplay.
Meanwhile, Australian all-rounder, Ashleigh Gardner seems to have an upper hand against the Caribbean skipper. The off-spinner has dismissed Hayley twice conceding 31 runs off 37 balls. The battle between both will be worth watching during the powerplay.
