Women’s T20 League: Top three player battles to look out for in the opening match between Mumbai and Gujarat
2. Harmanpreet Kaur vs Annabel Sutherland
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will play a crucial role for Mumbai in the middle order. The Indian captain is known for her power-hitting and changing the gear of the inning when needed. She has shown great form in recent times, including a half-century against Australia in the Women’s 20-20 World Cup semi-final.
India were looking for a remarkable victory but her run-out changed the game. Meanwhile, Kaur seems to be struggling against Australia’s young pacer, Annabel Sutherland. Sutherland has dismissed the Indian skipper thrice, giving 22 runs in 30 balls in T20 cricket. It will be interesting to see how Harmnapreet will take on the 21-year-old in the middle overs.
