It might surprise many to not see his name on this list, but unfortunately, KL Rahul might miss the upcoming ODI World Cup. It came as a huge sigh of relief for the Indian team when Rahul was declared fit for the Asia Cup. However, during the press conference, chief selector Ajit Agarkar revealed that Rahul, who recovered from a thigh injury, is carrying a niggle.
No one knows how concerning Rahul’s injury is, but the team is hoping he will be fit for the Asia Cup. Unfortunately, if Rahul fails to prove his fitness and misses out on Asian Cup matches, he might be dropped from the World Cup squad. Going with an injured wicketkeeper-batsman will prove risky for team management. He might be replaced by Sanju Samson in the squad.
