‘Ya toh ye phool banayega ya fir fool’ – Fans react as Andy Flower has been appointed as RCB’s new Head Coach for IPL 2024
The Indian Premier League (IPL) side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) appointed Andy Flower as their head coach for the 17th edition of the IPL on Friday. The former Zimbabwe skipper will take over Sanjay Bangar who coached the team in the 16th edition. Previously, Flower worked with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the last two seasons.
During his tenure at LSG, he worked with Gautam Gambhir who mentored the team, and with KL Rahul who led the team in both the season. They all together took the team to two playoffs in the two seasons they have played so far in the IPL. Earlier, the Super Giants replaced the former Zimbabwe cricketer with former Australian opener, Justin Langer as the head coach for the IPL 2024.
Andy Flower has coached Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants earlier

In IPL 2024, Flower will work with former South Africa skipper, Faf Du Plessis who has done a fine job as the skipper of the RCB side after taking over from former India skipper, Virat Kohli.
