‘Yashasvi Jaiswal could be the man for India’ – Former cricketer appreciates Jaiswal for bringing aggressiveness in the top order

India’s famous commentator Sanjay Manjarekar recently Discussed what Yashasvi Jaiswal can bring to the table for the India cricket team in the future especially in the shortest format of the game. The attacking batsman has impressed every player in the fraternity and has excelled in all the assignments of the T20 format.   

As per Manjrekar, Yashasvi Jaiswal will be an excellent pick for the selectors as he can fulfill the role of an aggressive batsman similar to what the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma Offered in the ODI World Cup 2023 at the opening batting position. The legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar gave a similar statement as he highlighted the aggressive left-handed option Jaiswal provides to the team.  

“India can field another T20I team that can compete against other international team and that is what IPL has done. If India is looking to reinvent their approach, Yashasvi Jaiswal could be the man for India. He can do what Rohit Sharma did in the ODI World Cup 2023 for India,” said Manjrekar.

 “The way he started off against Jofra Archer in the IPL was impressive. He is a very good talent. Jaiswal brings the left-handedness as well in the top order. He has the freshness of not being tied down by experience. He sees the ball and hits the ball. Jaiswal is an all-format prospect for India,” said Gavaskar on Star Sports.
