Rishabh Pant is one of MS Dhoni’s closest friends and a hero to the wicketkeeper. Pant, who is presently recovering from the injuries he incurred in a horrible car incident last year, opted to celebrate Dhoni’s 42nd birthday by cutting his cake at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. While Dhoni is staying at home in Ranchi, Pant is working his way back and working on his fitness in Bengaluru.

The two have a good relationship, and the youngster was even seen celebrating with Dhoni in London last year when the iconic Indian skipper turned 42. This year, the two are far away from each, but it hasn’t stopped Rishabh from celebrating his idol’s birthday. Pant sent a beautiful message for Dhoni on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of him cutting a cake.

Former cricketers’ wishes for captain cool

Former India opener Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to wish Dhoni on his special day. He tweeted, “The Sun God has 7 horses to pull his heavenly chariot. In the Rigveda, there are 7 parts of the world, 7 seasons & 7 fortresses, 7 basic musical notes, 7 pheras in a marriage, 7 wonders of the world. And on 7th day of 7th month- Birthday of a top man @msdhoni, #HappyBirthdayDhoni,” he wrote.

Dhoni’s former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina wrote: “Happy birthday to my big brother MS Dhoni! From sharing the pitch to sharing our dreams, the bond that we’ve created is unbreakable. Your strength, both as a leader and as a friend, has been my guiding light. May the year ahead bring you joy, success, and good health. Keep shining, keep leading, and keep spreading your magic.”

On Dhoni’s birthday, special birthday messages from the cricket community have poured in. Former cricketers and experts have also backed the legendary batter, who just led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title. The artwork was given to MS Dhoni by a fan. Dhoni too admired the beautiful artwork and humbly posed for photographs with the admirers.
