2024 T20 World Cup: Scheduled for event is announced with epic India vs Pakistan clash set to take place

Cricket fans around the world can rejoice as the schedule for the 2024 T20 World Cup has been announced. India and Pakistan are in the same group and will face each other in a blockbuster game on the ninth of June. The biggest match of the tournament will be held in New York with a massive crowd set to throng the stadium.

This year few new teams are set to make their T20I World Cup debut. The likes of Oman, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, and Nepal will rub shoulders with the best cricketing nations in the world.

West Indies and the USA are hosting the event and it is for the first time the US Crowd will get to witness an event of this magnitude. For the first time in the tournament history, there are twenty teams taking part in the competition.

Cricket Carnival in the American continent –

Rohit Sharma and Shaheen Shah Afridi will stand across the turf on the ninth of June in New York during the 2024 T20 World Cup. Apart from the 2009 and 2010 editions, the two teams have met in each T20 World Cup group stage.

Ireland, Canada, and the host USA are part of Group A along with India and Pakistan. The men in blue will begin their campaign against Ireland before the big game against Pakistan. India will then play against the USA and Canada post which India will get ready for the Super 8 stage.

As per the new format, the teams in the top two spots in each group will play the next phase. South Africa is placed in a tougher group alongside Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands.

Title holder England will relish the prospect of facing Australia as the two sides renew their rivalry. Jos Buttler and his men beat Pakistan in the final of the last tournament which was held in Australia. If Pat Cummins manages to win the tournament he will become the first skipper to hold all three global tournaments.

The 2024 T20 World Cup is set to begin on the 4th of June with the final scheduled for June 30. 55 games will be played across the three weeks of the biggest cricket carnival of 2024. Indian fans will hope that Rohit Sharma and Co can recreate the form of the 2023 ODI World Cup. The fans will hope goes one better clears the final hurdle and wins the tournament.
