After winning the three-match T20I series at home against Australia, India will lock horns now with South Africa. It will be another three-match T20I series, starting on 28 September 2022 in Thiruvananthapuram. Ahead of the 20-20 World Cup, this series will be another good test for the Indian team.
However, several players will not be part of this series. Hence, India might look for some players to add to their playing XI. It will help them to see their form while those players will also have some game time. Thus, ahead of the mega tournament, it can benefit team India for getting better preparation.

Rishabh Pant
This young wicketkeeper can also get some game time in this T20I series against South Africa. In the last series against Australia, Rishabh Pant did not get a chance so much, He was in the playing XI for the second match. But, he did not get a chance to bat. Hence, he will look to have some game time ahead of the 20-20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, India might also look at him in this series. The addition of him can give India a left-handed batting option in the middle order.
