In 2018, Chris Gayle made a move to the Punjab franchise from Bangalore. Many franchises showed no interest in him. But, Gayle proved everyone wrong with some gritty performances. After scoring 104 runs in 63 Balls against Hyderabad, he attended an interview where he took a cheeky dig on their franchises.
He said: “A lot of people thought that I am old. Nothing to prove though. Wherever I go across the globe, just want to earn some respect. This one is dedicated to my daughter Crisalina though; it’s her birthday tomorrow. So, yeah, this is for her. Tomorrow she will turn two and it’s her first time in India. We’re hoping to have a nice time.”
