England’s women will be charged up to win the Gold medal as the tournament is happening in their home conditions. They will be most suited and most prepared to win this tournament. Even, as per recent forms, they are coming off a thrashing 3-0 ODI series victory over the South Africa women earlier this month. Currently, they are busy playing a three-match T20I series against the Proteas as they won the first match of the series convincingly.
With a lead of 1-0, two matches are scheduled on 23 July, and 25 July 2022 respectively. However, England skipper, Heather Knight opened up on her wish to showcase their full potential to the new audience on home soil. Speaking to Sky Sports, she said: “It is a chance for us as a sport to reach some people we haven’t reached before. A huge stage to show what we can do. The platform to reach so many people is there, so our job is to be successful and show the skills that we have.”
