3 Times England Fans Complained About Something Which Was Within The Rules And Cried About It
Stuart Broad’s refusal to walk after getting an edge, 2013
This incident took place during the first Test match of the 2013 Ashes series. England and Australia locked horns in Trent Bridge. In the second innings, Stuart Broad was batting on 37 runs. Then, Ashton Agar was bowling and he produced an edge. Brad Haddin also grabbed that ball. But, the umpire did not give out.
Even, replays showed that Broad kicked that. Still, he refused to walk out of the field. For such action, fans criticized the English fast-bowler. But, English fans were supporting their player. However, Broad said: “It was an odd one. There was no particular noise because of the noise of Haddin’s gloves. It’s a bit silly when people say it was nicked to slip because actually it was edged to the keeper’s gloves and flew off the gloves to slip.”
