This veteran wicket-keeper batter, Dinesh Karthik is another player who faced issues by appearing in the Caribbean Premier League for Trinidad Knight Riders. In 2019, he was seen sitting in their dressing room, wearing their jersey for enjoying a match. This incident did not go well for the Indian Board as they issued a show-cause notice to him for this violation.

In reply to that, Dinesh Karthik sent an apology letter to the board and wrote: “I wish to tender an unconditional apology for not seeking permission from the Indian Cricket Board prior to embarking on this visit. I wish to reiterate that I have neither participated in any TKR-related activities nor played any role whatsoever for TKR. I will not be seated in the TKR dressing room for the remaining matches.”
