This was Novak Djokovic’s first win against Nick Kyrgios as Nick defeated him twice already in his career. Novak has now a record of 86-10 at the Championships.
His two victories came in 2017 Acapulco and 2017 Indian Wells. On the other hand, Kyrgios remains one of the few players to have defeated Djokovic, Nadal, and Roger Federer in his first encounters against them.
