The 22nd edition of the Commonwealth Games will be conducted in Birmingham as India will send 160 participants under several categories. After having a good Tokyo Olympics, Indian athletes will be tipped to bring some glory to India this time around also.
Some players like Neeraj Chopra, and PV Sindhu are the front runners to win gold medals in this upcoming event. But, there are some players who can surprise the world with their performance. These players can really be dark horses in the next CWG 2022 and those are:
Manika Batra

This Indian Table Tennis player can surprise everyone by winning a medal in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Manika Batra, currently, sits in the 41st position in the World Rankings of Women’s in Table Tennis. In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she led the Indian women’s team to a gold medal.
She also won a gold medal in the singles tournament and a silver and bronze in women’s doubles and mixed doubles respectively. After that, she was termed the “Golden Girl” of India. However, this time around, she can be a dark horse although she failed to manage a major singles win in recent months.
