5 Indian Players Who Belong To T20I Setup But Not For ODIs
After last year’s disaster in the T20 World Cup, India will look to improve their show in the next World Cup, later this year in Australia. For that, new players like Umran Malik and Avesh Khan have been prioritized in the shortest format of the game.
But, it has been found that despite having qualities and some performance behind their back, some players are not being considered for the 50-over format. The next World Cup of that format is scheduled in India in 2023. Hence, these players are being considered out of contention as they are being included only for the shortest format of the game.

This new pace sensation, Umran Malik just got his maiden call-up to the Indian Team for T20Is. He was part of the Team during the home series against South Africa and their tour of Ireland.
After having an excellent season for his Hyderabad franchise in the Indian T20 League, he earned that call-up. Against Ireland, he picked up his first wicket for India also. However, for the next ODI series against England, he was not included as another newcomer, Arshdeep Singh was preferred over him by the national selectors.
