This incident took place during the 2018 Indian T20 League. MS Dhoni was busy playing for his Chennai franchise. During a match against the Rajasthan franchise, a female fan was in the stands with a proposal banner for the Chennai skipper. In that banner, she called the Chennai skipper her “first love”.
The governing body of cricket also shared the same image on its Twitter account. However, the banner read: “Sorry Future partner, but MS Dhoni will always be my first love. I love you Mahi.” Meanwhile, MS Dhoni made Chennai champions in that season. It was Chennai’s third title in the history of the Indian T20 League.
