Wasim Akram, Carlton & United Series 2000
It was the Carlton & United Series when India met Pakistan in the 11th match in Perth. Former Pakistan great, Wasim Akram showcased his magic. He took three wickets by conceding 10 runs only in seven overs. Speaking of the match, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. All batters chipped in with some contribution as Pakistan posted a total of 261 runs by losing eight wickets.
Skipper Wasim Akram scored 31 runs also off 40 balls. In reply, India’s star-studded batting line-up fell apart, courtesy of Wasim Akram’s brilliant spell. Robin Singh scored 51 runs but India got bundled out for 157 runs in 46 overs. Wasim Akram was the player of the match for his overall performance in the game.
