This bowler recently got the opportunity to play in the Asia Cup in UAE. He performed well in this year’s Indian T20 League for his Lucknow franchise. Before the tournament, Bumrah got ruled out of the tournament due to his back injury. Thus, he got an opportunity. But, Avesh Khan failed miserably.
In two matches, he bowled six overs and conceded 72 runs. Avesh only grabbed two wickets. Now, as Bumrah and Harshal made a comeback, selectors did not choose him as a backup also. But, now selectors could give another chance to him in place of Umesh Yadav to fill the void of Shami in the upcoming series.
