Virat Kohli is known as one of the most decorated batters in the last decade across the globe. Since 2014, Virat led India across all formats. However, he failed to win any major silverware. But, his winning record percentages as captain of all the three formats have been huge compared to previous leaders.

Especially, he brought some revolution in India’s approach in Test matches as, during his tenure, India remained number one in Tests for five consecutive years. But, some players did not get any back from Virat despite performing when they got an opportunity to showcase their potential. Here are five players who lacked any support from the captain, Virat Kohli:

Ambati Rayudu was known for his sensible batting abilities as he was the front runner for the number four position before the 2019 World Cup. But, Virat Kohli took a surprising decision when he did not take Rayudu to that World Cup. He also announced retirement after that shocking exclusion from the World cup squad.

Still, now, Rayudu represents his Chennai franchise and his actions have caused him to lose the selectors’ trust. Speaking of his career, Rayudu played 55 ODI matches and six T20Is where he scored 1694 runs and 42 runs respectively.
