Team India showed faith in Rishabh Pant and veteran wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik for the 20-20 World Cup. But, Sanju Samson has gained praise for his wicket-keeping skills always. Even, during the recent ODI series in West Indies, he came up with a heroic effort in the first match. It was the 50th over of the match when West Indies required only 15 runs from six balls.

After four balls, it was required only eight runs off two balls for the Caribbeans. In the fifth ball of that over, Siraj bowled a widish delivery and it was looking to offer five free runs to the West Indies.  However, Sanju dived full-stretched to his left and saved that certain boundary. Otherwise, that would have cost the match for India. So, India could have some benefit in the 20-20 World Cup by considering him as the first-choice keeper.
