This rift took place during the 1936 trip to England. Vizzy was India’s second-ever Test captain. He requested Amarnath to get ready to bat during a tour game. But, he did not send him in. Lala Amarnath and many other senior cricketers didn’t respect him as their captain.
However, during that match, when Vizzy got the chance of batting, he was out quickly. He got out and said that he knew what was going on after entering the dressing room. After that, Team India expelled Amarnath from the squad. It might be the first significant scandal in the history of Indian cricket.
