This incident took place during the second match of the home T20I series against the West Indies. The match took place in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. It was 16th over of West Indies’ innings while they were chasing 187 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was bowling that over while Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran were batting.
In that over, Kumar bowled a short ball and Powell went for the pull. But, he ended up with an edge and the ball went up straight. Bhuvneshwar Kumar went for that easy catch but he missed it. Rohit Sharma was not happy as he kicked the ball in front of his bowler’s face only. But, India won the match by eight runs eventually.
