This famous incident happened when two big giants of the Indian T20 League, Mumbai and Bangalore met in 2020. Speaking about the match, Bangalore scored 164 runs while batting first. However, Mumbai managed to pull off the chase with five balls to spare, thanks to a fantastic unbeaten knock of 79 runs off 43 balls. But, during that chase, Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav were involved in a scary stare-off moment.
Speaking about that on a show named ‘Breakfast With Champions’, Surya said that Kohli always has a different energy level on the pitch, but his sledging went up a notch that day. The Mumbai batter said: “That’s his style. His energy on the ground is always at a different level. And that game was extremely important for both teams so Virat’s sledging was on another level in that match,” He also expressed that he didn’t even look at Kohli for the rest of the match. Surya just kept his eyes down and batted through and they never even spoke about the topic again.
