Indian T20 League 2022: Star Player likely to make a comeback for Bangalore against Rajasthan

Rajasthan will be taking on Bangalore in the 13^th match of the Indian T20 League 2022. The match is scheduled at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams will be coming into the match on the back of victories in their last matches and will be hoping to continue their winning momentum.

Bangalore has already experienced the taste of both a victory and a defeat in the tournament. After being unable to defend a big total in their first match against Punjab, they restricted Kolkata to a low total in the next match and chased it down. But Bangalore’s batting looked shaky while chasing a moderate target of 129 runs against Kolkata. It looked like Bangalore lacked experience in the middle order.

To the relief of the team management of Bangalore, their star middle-order batter Glenn Maxwell is out of quarantine and will be available for selection for the match against Rajasthan. Maxwell joined the Bangalore camp late as he was getting married. After he joined the team, he was required to serve a mandatory quarantine period before he could start practicing. Now that he has completed the quarantine he has been seen out practicing with the team and hopefully will play in the next match also solving the middle order issues of Bangalore.

Notably, he played a very important part in Bangalore’s batting last year. In the 15 matches that he played, Maxwell scored 513 runs at an average of 42.75 and scored at a strike rate of 144.10. The team will be hoping that he continues in a similar form and leaves the same impact this season also.
