Shivam Dube: Shivam Dube was the only positive for Chennai batting in their chase against Punjab. He scored a brilliant 57 off 30 deliveries and Chennai’s hopes were alive as long as he was present in the middle. His golden form will be something that Chennai will hope continues in the next match.
Ruturaj Gaikwad: Ruturaj Gaikwad has failed to deliver with the bat till now. In the three matches, the team has suffered as Gaikwad has not provided them with a solid start. Chennai will be hoping that he strikes form soon and gives them solid starts.
Ravindra Jadeja: Ravindra Jadeja has looked like a shadow of himself so far in the tournament with the responsibilities of leadership on him. He is a very important part of the team with his all-round capabilities. Fans will be waiting for him to strike form in both batting and bowling and contribute effectively to the team’s cause.
Hyderabad: Alike Chennai, the men in orange is also suffering from a lot of woes in their team. They have lost both their opening matches and are yet to register a point in the tournament. They lost the last match against Lucknow by a margin of 12 runs. The team will be hoping to get back on track as soon as possible. Hyderabad’s pacer Umran Malik has impressed everybody with his raw pace, but his control has been an issue. So, the team may look to try Kartik Tyagi in his place.

Kane Williamson: Kane Williamson is unarguable the best batter in the Hyderabad lineup. But he has been struggling with his form in the tournament. This has led to weak starts for Hyderabad with the bat and as result, they are not able to put up strong batting performances.
Washington Sundar: In the two matches so far, Sundar has shown his abilities with both the bat and the bowl. While in the first match he scored 40 runs off 14 deliveries in the second match he picked up 2 wickets conceding just 28 runs in 4 overs. Hyderabad will hope he keeps contributing like this in the tournament.
Pitch Report: The pitch at DY Patil Stadium has favored the batter at the beginning of the season. But in the last match played on the pitch between Delhi and Lucknow, it appeared the strip is slowing down. Spinners were extracting help from the wicket. The dew played an important part in the last match and it will be expected that the captain winning the toss will look to field first.
