Australia and South Africa will lock horns for the 2nd Semi-Final match of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 16 November. The live action of the match will begin at 2 PM IST exclusively on the Star Sports Network.  South Africa became the second team in the tournament to qualify for the semis, while Australia qualified for the semifinals in the second-last match against Afghanistan.

If the match gets abandoned due to heavy rain then both the teams will play the game on the reserve day. If the game does not resume even on the reserve day, South Africa will automatically qualify for the finals to meet India in Ahmedabad due to the higher net run rate on the Points Table. 

Previously, South Africa and Australia met for the league stage match on 12 October in Lucknow and South Africa won the game by 134 runs. The match became South Africa’s next huge victory after they defeated Sri Lanka by 102 runs in the first game of the league stage of the tournament.
