Former India captain MS Dhoni recently caught up with his former teammate Yuvraj Singh during an advertisement shoot. Yuvraj took to his official Instagram account to share a snippet of their meeting. Yuvraj and Dhoni were at the forefront of many of India’s memorable victories.
The duo’s presence in white-ball formats would often spell a disaster for the opposition teams. Prominent among those are the 20-20 World Cup victory in 2007, and the 50-over World Cup glory in 2011. As soon as the story went viral, fans started to get nostalgic. It seems the two cricketing legends met after a long time. Yuvraj has been away from the game since announcing his retirement from cricket.

Meanwhile, Dhoni is still an active cricketer in IPL and took Chennai Super Kings to its fourth title in the 2021 edition. Yuvraj and Dhoni were last seen together in the blue jersey in the 2017 ODI match against England. The duo put on an absolute show with the bat in hand reminded the fans and critics of their hitting prowess. Yuvraj scored 150 and Dhoni scored 134. The duo stitched a partnership worth 256 and bailed India out of trouble.
The former India all-rounder has recently hinted of a return to cricket next year. The 37-year-old might have possibly hinted at playing a Road Safety Series due to start in January-February 2022.
Meanwhile, CSK have retained Dhoni ahead of the IPL mega auctions for the next three years. Dhoni though opted out to be the first retention and felt Ravindra Jadeja should get the pole position due to all-around prowess.
