Babar Azam pays tribute to Late Lata Mangeshkar
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam took to Twitter and paid his tributes to Late singer Lata Mangeshkar. Mangeskar was admitted in the Breach Candy Hospital after testing positive for COVID19 last month and was also treated for pneumonia. On February 6, she breathed her last.
Born on September 29, 1929, she begun her singing career at a tender age of 13 in 1942. In more than 70 years of her career, she recorded over 25000 songs in Hindi and 36 other Indian languages and English. Apart from being a playback singer, she was also an occasional music composer.
Meanwhile, Azam took to Twitter and paid his respects to the ‘Nightingale of India’ saying that it is an end of a golden era.

The State Government of Maharashtra has declared public holiday on February 7, to mourn the death of the iconic singer. The Central Government of India has also announced a two-day mourning after the death of Lata Mangeshkar.
“The state government has declared a public holiday in the state on Monday, February 7, 2022, to mourn the demise of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar,” tweeted Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s Office on Sunday.
