Fans of the Indian Cricket team are set for massive disappointment on Tuesday. Thiruvananthapuram has been experiencing heavy rainfall since early hours of the day. This is bad news for the Indian Cricket Team before the start of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

India still have not played any warm-up game as it looks to fine-tune its flaws. The first game for India is on the 8th of October against Australia. The match will be played in Chennai where sultry and humid conditions are expected to welcome the two sides.

So far every game held in Thiruvananthapuram has been affected by rain. Even the game on Monday between New Zealand and South Africa saw the game halted for a period of time. Rohit Sharma though would hope for some game time in a bid to prepare for the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Rain adds to the Indian team’s misery

RevSportz came up with the sad news of heavy rains lashing the entire state of Kerala. The worst hit according to the sources is Thiruvananthapuram where the warm-up matches are being played.

Team India is scheduled to play the Netherlands on Tuesday in their 2nd and final Warm-Up game. As per reports, the match could see a delayed start or no action take place at all. The weather in Kerala has put a spanner in the works for India for the 2023 ODI World Cup preparations. The Indian Cricket team landed in Kerala on Sunday and went straight to the hotel. The practice session on Monday was an optional one as per the team sources. India were supposed to take on England on Saturday in Guwahati. The game too was called off due to heavy rains after the toss was completed.

Former India skipper Virat Kohli’s return is yet in the dark ahead of the game on Tuesday. Virat Kohli had flown to Mumbai due to a ‘Family emergency’, and did not fly with the team on Sunday. As per reports, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are set to be parents for the second time. With the 2023 ODI World Cup two days away, this isn’t the preparations India needed. There is hope that the weather clears up and the fans get to watch their beloved stars in action.
