Ambati Rayudu speaks about MS Dhoni’s legacy in the game

MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the best cricketing brains. There have been instances where HE got the best from the players with no expectations from them whatsoever. It is almost like Dhoni gets the best from the players who are least expected to perform. the clarity of roles and confidence given by the wicketkeeper batter is always praised in the Cricket world. Tactically, Dhoni is a genius, to say the least.
Ambati Rayudu, who played a lot with Dhoni in Indian cricket and in the IPL with CSK, had recently appeared in an interview. The questionnaire asked about Rayudu’s association with MS Dhoni and CSK. The former claimed that he loved playing for Mumbai Indians, but playing for Chennai Super Kings meant a lot more special to him. Rayudu said that he got used to playing in CSK after some time.
The former India player went on to speak about the Midas touch of Dhoni. The Hyderabad-born claimed that Dhoni gets the best out of players across formats. Rayudu said that Dhoni is either blessed with the unique ability to get the best out of the players or has cultivated it over the years. Rayudu added that Dhoni has a subtle nature in advising the players, which is a good trait to have.

Rayudu wondered how Dhoni gets most of his decisions spot on. The former CSK player expressed his surprise over the success rate of MS Dhoni as a captain. “Many times, I wonder why he is doing something which I wouldn’t think is appropriate. But at the end of the day, results show that he was right and he’s right 99.9 percent of the time,” added the former Indian cricketer.
Rayudu said that Dhoni makes decisions that cannot be questioned by anyone, as he has results to show. “It shows he knows what he is doing, and he has done it for such a long time and so successfully that I don’t think anybody in Indian cricket is in a position to question his decisions now because he’s been so successful,” concluded Rayudu.
