India defeated South Africa by 106 runs in the third T20I, as Suryakumar Yadav scripted history with his 4th T20I hundred. Despite losing the toss, India batted first and scored 201 runs on the board in Johannesburg. It was one such wicket where there was uneven bounce and the batters found it difficult to score runs. Hence, the score of India seemed huge from the perspective of the game.

Batting first, India found themselves at 29/2. That was when Suryakumar Yadav joined Yashasvi Jaiswal to frame a crucial partnership for the third wicket. Their knocks helped India to post a very good total on the board. Suryakumar was the pick of the Indian batters, who scored 100 runs in 56 balls, His knock consisted of 8 sixes and 7 fours.

On the other hand, Jaiswal was impressive as well. The youngster was probably one of the earliest batters to analyze the wicket. both he and Yadav were a bit watchful early in their innings. Once they were set in the middle, they could judge the bounce well. Their launch was good to see. The Southpaw scored 60 runs in 41 balls, which was very good on a pitch that was not that easy to bat on.

South Africa crumble in the run chase

Chasing the target, the home side never looked to be in the game. There was of course the uneven bounce. But the way SA batted was not that good. No batter except David Miller tried to stay in the middle. The wickets of some of their batters were against the run of play. The nature of the wicket got the better of the batters, who seemed totally out of thought.

Like Keshav Maharaj, the Indian spinners bowled well. Kuldeep Yadav was exceptional in his spell. The chainman spinner raced away to his second T20I fifer in just 17 balls. In the process, he became the first-ever bowler to claim a fifer in T20Is on their birthday. In the end, India clinched the match by 106 runs. They levelled the T20I series 1-1, as the action continues with ODIs.
