Asia Cup 2023 squad for team India: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Mohammad Shami, Ishan Kishan, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Prasidh Krishna, and Sanju Samson (back-up).
Three Alternates for KL Rahul if Absent in Asia Cup 2023:
3. Suryakumar Yadav:
Suryakumar Yadav is considered one of the best players of spin. Pakistan has good spinners like Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, and Usama Mir, and in subcontinental conditions in Sri Lanka, batters have to play the spinner carefully. He has the sweep shot in his bucket and uses his feet well. Against Pakistan, even a small but significant knock will have a significant influence because all it takes is for the momentum to change just a little bit.
