Australia to tour India for three T20I matches series

According to recent developments, Australia will be visiting India for three-match T20I series in September. The series will serve as a preparation for the T20 World Cup scheduled in October-November this year in Australia. Notably, after lifting the trophy in the latest edition, Australia will be defending their title at home. On the other hand, India will look for redemption after having a tough time in 2021.
Meanwhile, the series between Australia and India will be a hard-fought one as India and Australia are two of the strongest teams in the shortest format at present. While Australia has won the 2021 T20 World Cup, the Men in Blue have emerged victorious in their last 12 T20I matches. Notably, they also won the T20I series in Australia in 2020 by a 2-1 margin.
The development was reported by foxsports.com.au. “Australia will a number of white ball series with home games against Zimbabwe, New Zealand, West Indies, and England coming to either side of three T20s in India in September,”- the report read.
It is mention-worthy that Australia is due to tour India for four Test matches in February and March next year. India on the other hand will be playing a five-match T20I series against South Africa at home next. The series will take place from 9th June to 9th July. All the teams will be playing several T20 matches as a build-up to the upcoming T20 World Cup. India will also be engaged in several matches in the shortest format.
After playing South Africa, India will tour Ireland, England, and West Indies playing the T20I series. India will use these opportunities to identify the perfect team combination for the T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma’s side will look to cover up all their bases and build up a formidable squad. They will try and cover up all the holes and fight to redeem themselves as they were eliminated from the group stage in the last edition of the T20 World Cup.
