Virat Kohli is currently battling through his worst slump. The former Indian captain hasn’t scored a century in any format for more than 2 years now. Furthermore, he endured a horrendous outing with the bat for Bangalore in the Indian T20 League 2022. Regarded as one of the modern-day greats, Virat Kohli scored 341 runs in 16 matches at an average and a strike rate of 22.73 and 115 respectively.

A lot of expectations were pinned on Virat Kohli to do well in the qualifier 2 match between Bangalore and Rajasthan. However, once again, he failed to deliver.

A lot of cricket pundits have advised him to take a break and spend time with his family to overcome his poor patch. Recently, Bree Lee also stated the same while mentioning that he is Virat Kohli’s ‘massive fan.’

“I am a massive Kohli fan like a lot of people in the world. I just hope that he really gets his opportunity. He just needs some time out. Spend some time with his family, get reset and hopefully, we can see him scoring some hundreds,” Lee said in an interview with ANI.

Later, he also heaped praise on Umran Malik. For Brett Lee, Umran Malik reminds him of Waqar Younis.

“I am a big fan. I think Umran Malik has got a lot of pace to burn. He is a competitor, a top guy, who runs in like a lot of fast bowlers in the past. Waqar Younis is the person who comes to mind,” Brett Lee was quoted by Hindustan Times.

Malik, who hails from Jammu, had a great outing at the IPL 2022 as he bagged 22 wickets in 14 games at an average of 20.18 and an economy of 9.03. He recorded his best bowling figures against Gujarat Titans as he registered 5/25 but ended up on the losing side. Umran Malik also bagged the award of the Emerging player of the Indian T20 League 2022.
