‘Bas yahi karte raho’ – Fans react as Jay Shah provides update on ODI World Cup 2023 re-scheduling
The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in the month of October at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finals from last year, England and New Zealand lock horns against each other. The venues for the knockout games, semi-final and final are yet to be announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The ODI World Cup 2023 fixture between India and Pakistan is set to take place on October 15, however, the Indian Cricket Board has the option of moving the date. But there are other changes on the way as well.
“We have received requests from 2-3 ICC member boards participating in the World Cup to make some changes to the schedule. What’s important for us is we don’t have to make any change in venues,” the Indian Cricket Board secretary, Jay Shah was quoted as saying to the reporters after a meeting with the ten staging associations in Delhi on Thursday.
Bumrah is completely fit, and he may be part of the Ireland series: Jay Shah
Due to the match’s timing with the state’s greatly celebrated Navaratri holiday, the India-Pakistan match’s initial date may have had to be changed. For police forces, that might turn into a security issue. If the match was postponed for security concerns, Shah completely rejected the thought.
Though no other dates have been officially announced, it has been heard that efforts are being made to hold the match on October 14 in order to avoid significantly disrupting the plans of the Apex Cricket Council’s commercial partners, vendors, and cricket fans who may have pre-booked hotels and flights to Ahmedabad.
Jay Shah also opened “Bumrah is completely fit, and he may be part of the Ireland series,” Shah was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz. It is worth noting that India will take on Ireland for a three-match T20I series in Dublin on August 18, 20, and 23.

Bcci is not fit to conduct big tournaments like world cup. Really pathetic to see them still not finalizing the fixtures. Do they even think abt fans who had finalized their trip.
