‘Bhai uske liye dimaag bhi hona chahiye’ – Fans react as Rajinikanth says ‘Kalanithi Maran should put good players in Sunrisers Hyderabad team’

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise has not been able to perform for quite a few seasons now in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They finished at the bottom of the table in the 16th edition of the cash-rich league as they were able to win only four matches out of the 14 matches they played in IPL 2023. The SRH side never looked even close to giving competition to the other nine teams in this year’s IPL.

The Hyderabad side has released quite a few big names from their squad in recent time which includes the likes of David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, and Jonny Bairstow. The instability of the team has put them at the bottom of the points table. The team has not been able to excel under the leadership of the CEO, Kavya Maran who is the daughter of team owner Kalanithi Maran.

Fans have seen Kavya Maran’s passion and dedication towards the team whether it is at the time of the auction or in the stands while supporting her team during the match. But in the last few seasons, the fans have seen her really upset and more than happy in the VIP box of the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, which is happen to be the home ground for the SRH side in the IPL.

Superstar Rajinikanth got emotional after seeing SRH CEO in a very sad state during the last few IPL seasons. While speaking at the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Jailer’, he urged the SRH owner and the producer of his upcoming film to ‘put good players’ in the team as he cannot see Kavya upset. Kalanithi Maran should put good players in Sunrisers Hyderabad team. I feel bad seeing Kavya like that on TV during the IPL,” Rajnikanth asserted.

The request from ‘Thalaiva’ to  Kalanithi Maran has gone viral on social media, and fans have also reacted to that. A Twitter user wrote: “Even I feel seeing Kaviya sad like this. She does not deserve it.” Another user wrote: “Rajni sir we too feel bad seeing kavya like that.”
