‘Chief Selector Ki Cheap Selection’ – Mohammad Amir trolls PCB After 20-20 World Cup Squad Announcement
With only a month left at the start of the 20-20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan has announced its squad for the tournament. Talking about the team, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has retained most of its players who were part of the Asia Cup 2022. Asif Ali, who didn’t have great form with the bat during the tournament, has retained his place. Also, Haider Ali, who didn’t play a game managed to retain his place.
Talking about others, the likes of Iftikhar Ahmad and Khushdil Shah who didn’t have good form with the bat have also been included. Pacers such as Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah who impressed the fans have also managed to impress the selection committee with their performance. Apart from them, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr. who were injured during the tournament have also made it.
Also, the likes of Shan Masood and Usman Qadir have also made it to the squad. A lot of former cricketers in Pakistan always maintained that Masood must be part of the Pakistan team. The left-hander has been finally rewarded for his performances in domestic cricket. On the other hand, Qadir is the second leg-spinner in the team with Shadab Khan being the vice-captain and the lead spinner in the side.
Talking about the reserve players, the likes of Fakhar Zaman, Shahnawaz Dahani, and wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Haris have been included. Notably, Dahani did fine in the continental tournament in the absence of players such as Shaheen and Wasim Jr.
