Rinku Singh smashed three sixes off three balls in the super-over to give his team a win in the super-over. The left-handed batting sensation was playing for Meerut Mavericks against Kashi Rudras on Thursday.

The game went down to the wire as the match ended in a tie and had to go to the super over. That’s when Rinku Singh showed his class to yet again reaffirm his status as a player to watch out for.

Rinku Singh is not new to playing such knocks, it was during IPL 2023 when he showed his form. Rinku Singh, hit Yash Dayal for five sixes in a row to claim a win for KKR against Gujarat Titans.

Rinku Singh does the unthinkable

Kashi Rudras batted first in the Super over and got 16 runs from their stipulated single over. Karan Sharma scored 10 off 5 balls with a four and six with Mohammad Sharim hitting his first ball for a six.

Needing 17 for a win, Shiva Singh began with a dot ball. Rinku Singh then hit the 2nd ball over long-off for a six. The third ball was a full toss and it was hit out of the ground over the leg side boundary. With 5 needed off three balls, the game was settled as yet another six-over long-off won the game for Meerut.

Speaking about the game, Meerut Mavericks batted first and scored 181/4 from their 20 overs. Opener Shoaib Siddiqui scored 15 ball 24 with 5 fours while fellow opener Swastik Chikara was out for 8.

The top scorer for Meerut was Madhav Kaushik who was not out on 87 off 52 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Rinku Singh did not get going as he scored just 15 runs off 22 balls with the help of a single six.

Chasing 182 to win, Karan Sharma got Kashi to a good start. Sharma, top scored with 58 off 44 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Shivam Bansal chipped in with a useful 57 off 41 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. Meerut bowlers made a comeback as Kashi lost wickets at regular intervals.

Ankur Malik used the long handle to score 28 off 16 balls with 4 fours and a six. With the asking rate climbing, Mohammad Sharim scored 16 not out which came off 4 balls with a four and 2 sixes. That wasn’t enough as the game ended in an exciting tie.
