Al-Nassr won 1-0 in the round of 16 first leg of the Asian Champions League against Al-Fayha as Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of 2024.

As the game was tied till the 81st minute Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock as Marcelo Brozovic assisted him pass through Al-Fayha’s defence.  Cristiano Ronaldo ran into the box and flicked the ball over the goalkeeper to score for his club as the ball went into the nets. As the half-time closes Cristiano Ronaldo has missed a much easy chance as Al-Fayha goalkeeper Stojkovic made a save.

In 23 straight calendar years, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored for his club. With the win against Al-Fayha Cristiano Ronaldo has won 796 matches in his career. He has also made 1000 club appearances.

After scoring the goal instead of doing his famous ‘SIUU’ celebration, he came up with a new celebration.

On the other hand, Al-Nassr is looking to win the first title as they play the second leg against Al-Fayha next Wednesday.

Other games in the AFC Champions League

Four teams from Saudi Arabia have reached the knockout stage, which divides them into two different geographic zones until the final match. Al-Hilal will face Sepahan in Iran on Thursday. In the other match, Al-Ittihad will face Navbahor of Uzbekistan.

On Wednesday Al-Ain club from the United Arab Emirates drew 0-0 with Nasaf Qarshi of Uzbekistan. While Bangkok United drew 2-2 against Yokohama F. Marinos of Japan as they scored in injury time, in the eastern zone. Elber and Kota Watanabe scored 2 goals to give the team the lead. Nitipong Selanon and Mahmoud Eid scored 2 goals for Bangkok United as they were trailing behind. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors won 2-0 over Pohang Steelers as Hernandes and Ahn Hyeon-beam scored goals for the club.
