Deemed unfit to play, Ravindra Jadeja spotted in his wife’s political rallies

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the game since his knee injury during Men’s Asia Cup 2022. In September this year, he sustained the injury during a team bonding activity. Given the seriousness of the injury, the was ruled out of the tournament. After this, the left-hander was ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia as well. Currently, he hasn’t recovered from the injury.
The ousted selection committee members have said that they didn’t want to take any risks while making a squad for the Bangladesh tour. India is currently playing a white-ball series in New Zealand which will be followed by the Bangladesh tour. In this series, the Men In Blue will play three ODIs and Two Tests. Jadeja has been ruled out of the ODIs while the decision on inclusion in Tests is yet to be taken.
Ravindra Jadeja spotted campaigning for his wife
In the midst of all this, the 2008 U19 World Cup winner has been spotted doing political rallies for his wife, Rivaba. The latter has been nominated to fight for the ruling BJP in the state elections of Gujarat. Notably, the pictures are doing round because they were uploaded by none other than Rivaba herself. In the two separate tweets, she mentioned her husband being the pride of Jamnagar.
Apparently, the 2013 Champions Trophy winner hails from Jamnagar. The tweets were captioned “Pride of the country of India and the city of Jamnagar A magnificent road show of the all- @imjadeja cricketer,” the BJP candidate wrote in the first tweet. The second tweet was captioned “People are getting a sweet welcome, Jamnagar ready to do saffron again… Pride of the country of India and the city of Jamnagar A magnificent road show of the all- @imjadeja cricketer Mr. 1/1,” he second tweet reads.

The Chennai player in the Indian T20 League is under medical supervision. It will be interesting to see when he comes back on the field.
