The 15th edition of the Asia Cup is just going to start on 27 August 2022. All the teams have already reached the USA. They are busy preparing for the upcoming tournament. However, India is going to kick off their campaign against its arch-rivals Pakistan on 28 August 2022. After last year’s defeat in the T20 World Cup, India will hope for a better display against them. However, India is coming off a three-match ODI series win over Zimbabwe. 

On the other hand, Pakistan is also coming off a three-match ODI series win over the Netherlands. But, the main players were absent from the Zimbabwe tour for India. They will be in action in the Asia Cup. But, now, the Indian Cricket Board shared a set of pictures of some players as they were sweating hard in the nets. Meanwhile, fans are speculating that these images are enough to understand the probable playing XI for India against Pakistan.

India might look to go with four full-time bowlers against Pakistan

Speaking of the shared images, the first set of images were of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant. Then, the Board shared images of Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Yuzvendra Chahal. Then, in the last set of images, two youngsters Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh were there.

Based on these images, Fans are assuming this might be the lineup for the first match of this Asia Cup. India might go with four full-time bowlers along with Hardik Pandya. Therefore, They might be going to add Dinesh Karthik to the lineup. However, KL Rahul might open the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma. 

But, it might allow India to exclude their veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja from the team. India might miss his overall abilities with both the bat and the ball. However, India will also miss the services of Jasprit Bumrah due to his back injury.
