‘The perfect “Guru – Shishya”‘ – Fans Shower Love After Virat Kohli Posts A Special Message For MS Dhoni

Team India is getting ready for the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup in UAE. Recently, they were busy playing three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. However, big named players like Virat Kohli were not part of that tour. After the England tour, Kohli took a rest from both the West Indies and Zimbabwe tours.

However, he reached UAE a few days back and he looked in great touch in the nets. The Indian Cricket Board also shared the same video on Twitter. But, on 25 August 2022, Virat Kohli shared a special message for his former captain, MS Dhoni. He shared an image of both of them from a match. He wrote: “Being this man’s trusted deputy was the most enjoyable and exciting period in my career. Our partnerships would always be special to me forever. 7+18” with a red love emoji.

Virat Kohli has always shown love for MS Dhoni throughout his career

Speaking of the post, it was quite surprising for fans as Virat shared that message all of a sudden. Since 2019, he has been trying to get back to his level-best form across all three formats. But, he failed to do so as it has been more than 1000 days since his last international century for India. Hence, this heartfelt message for Dhoni made fans think that Virat might be looking to hang up his boots.

Some fans shared their views and requested Kohli to fight out the situation. But, most of the fans showed love and respect for the bond he has with Dhoni. However, Kohli might look for some help from this former India great ahead of the Asia Cup 2022. He will be looking to score many runs in this upcoming competition. He will be in action for India when they will take on arch-rivals Pakistan on 28 August 2022.
