Shubman Gill is currently busy playing in the County Championship Divison Two, 2022. He is representing Glamorgan. As of now, he has played two matches so far where Gill scored 125 runs in three innings. He scored those runs at an average of 41.66. In his first innings of the tournament, Gill smashed 92 runs off 148 balls, including eight fours and one six.

However, in recent times, he had some excellent performances for India. In both the ODI series in West Indies and Zimbabwe, he became the player of the series. Earlier this year, he helped his Gujarat franchise to win the Indian T20 League at their first attempt. But, now ahead of the next edition, his franchise shared a cryptic post regarding him on Twitter. It left his fans surprised and guessing as the post went viral.

Here is the shared post on Twitter:

Shubman Gill scored 483 runs in 16 matches for Gujarat in Indian T20 League 2022

Speaking of the viral post, Gujarat shared a tweet that read: “It’s been a journey to remember. We wish you all the best for your next endeavour, @ShubmanGill! #AavaDe”. The post seemed like the franchise bid goodbye to this star batter ahead of the next season.

They wished him good luck in the future and acknowledged the time he had for the franchise last year. Franchises are allowed to trade players before the next season of the tournament. Hence, fans started to guess if the franchise is hinting towards some trading of Gill to another franchise or not. However, fans became more confused when Shubman Gill replied to that post.

Here is the reply from Gill:

His performance was enough to get him a call-up to the Indian team for those ODI series in Zimbabwe and West Indies. Speaking of his career, Gill has played nine ODIs where he scored 499 runs, at an average of 771.28. On the other hand, he represented India in 11 matches where he scored 579 runs, at an average of 30.47.
