Shubman Gill is currently busy playing for Glamorgan in the ongoing County Championship Division two. In recent months, he has enjoyed good form with the bat for India. In two ODI series in West Indies and Zimbabwe, he won the player of the series award. Then, he went to play in this year’s County Championship. However, he had a great debut in that tournament.

In the first match against Worcestershire, Gill scored 92 runs off 148 balls. But, he lost his wicket to Ed Barnard as the umpire gave him an LBW dismissal. But, he was not convinced as Gill shared that dismissal video on Instagram. He asked for opinions from people regarding that dismissal. Gill wrote: “Out or not out? What do you guys think.”

Here is the shared video:

Shubman Gill received some opinions from both the fans and cricketers in response to that video

Shubman Gill shared the video on 24 September 2022. But, the match took place on 5 September in Cardiff. In response to that dismissal, some fans and cricketers came up with their opinions in his comment section. Fans were seen voting in favour of Gill as they declared that as a ‘not out’.

But, many cricketers like Tom Banton, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan said that it was a plumb dismissal. Hence, Gill might not like their opinions as they did not go in favour of him. Speaking about his performance so far, Gill has played three innings where he scored 125 runs. Shubman Gill has been enjoying good form recently. He was the highest scorer for both the ODI series in West Indies (205 runs in three innings) and Zimbabawe (245 runs in three innings) respectively.

Speaking of that first match, Worcestershire batted first and declared their inning after scoring 454 runs for nine wickets. Then, Gill scored 92 runs despite Glamorgan getting bundled out for 295 runs. Glamorgan came out to bat again as they were followed on. But, they managed only five runs before time got ended. Thus, the match ended in a draw.
