‘Don’t Give Irrelevant Gyan For Views And Likes’ – Netizens slams Shoaib Akhtar As He Predicts Virat Kohli’s Retirement From T20Is After The 20-20 World Cup
Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has predicted that Virat Kohli might retire from the T20Is after the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Recently. the latter had a good form with the bat in the Asia Cup 2022 as he scored two fifties and his maiden hundred in the shortest format. Now, Kohli will play six T20Is (three each against Australia and South Africa) before the World Cup.
A few days ago, it was reported that the Indian Cricket Board might look to manage the 33-year-old’s workload after the tournament alongside Ravindra Jadeja. Meanwhile, Akhtar has already predicted that Kohli might take retirement from the shortest format of the game at the highest level.
“Kohli could take retirement (from T20Is) after the 20-20 World Cup (in Australia). He might do so as to extend his longevity in the other formats. If I was him, I would have looked at the larger picture and taken a call,” Akhtar said on air.
Recently, Shahid Afridi advised Virat Kohli to retire
Recently, Afridi advised Kohli to retire from the game. In an interview, he urged Virat to retire from the game before being dropped from the team.
“The way Virat has played and the start that he had to his career, there was struggle initially before he made a name for himself. He is a champion (player) and I think there’s time when you are approaching retirement and then, the aim should be to go out on a high,” the 45-year-old said on Samaa TV.
“It shouldn’t reach a stage that you get dropped from the team. It rarely happens though (players retiring at their peak). Very few players, especially cricketers from Asian teams make such calls. I feel when Virat does it (retirement), he will do it style and maybe in the same way how he began his career,” Afridi concluded.
Meanwhile, Akhtar’s comments haven’t gone down well with the netizens. They have urged him to keep Kohli alone.

@shoaib100mph Sir please mind your own business. Virat Kohli is not in your universe of cricketers so don't give irrelevant gyan for views and likes.
