He hasn’t played here for a long time, a big moment for Mohsin: Marcus Stoinis
For the MI side, the pick of the bowler was Jason Behrendroff, who snapped two wickets in his spell of four overs where he conceded 30 runs in his spell. One wicket was grabbed by Piyush Chawla in his spell of three overs where he conceded 26 runs in his spell.
While chasing the target, MI was able to score only 172 runs with the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. The highest scorer of the side was Ishan Kishan, who scored 59 runs off 39 balls, which included eight fours and a six. The pick of the bowler for LSG was Yash Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi, who bagged two wickets in their respective spells where they conceded 40 runs and 26 runs, respectively.
“Great moment. He hasn’t played here for a long time, a big moment for Mohsin, especially bowling the final over after being injured. It was very close, there are a lot of things not going your way. A couple of good overs from the spinners and Mohsin sealed it for us. We have shown that we are a real team, there are no real superstars, and there are different people stepping up and performing for us. We are missing KL (Rahul), but we have KP (Krunal) leading us, and Andy (Flower) has a really good cricket brain,” Stoinis was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation.
