1. Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin might never play an ODI for India. In the ODI World Cup 2023, Ashwin came into the scheme of things due to Axar Patel getting ruled out of the tournament. Ahead of the big tournament, Ashwin was selected for the ODI series against Australia, where he performed well. As a result, Ashwin replaced Axar in the Indian squad for the big tournament. In the ODI World Cup 2023, Ashwin played one match for India and performed well in it.
Against Australia, Ashwin bowled 10 overs, conceded 33 runs and claimed a wicket in his home ground, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In other games, Ashwin was not in the Playing XI. The Indian spinner is well over 36 and is approaching the twilight period of his career. With the youngsters already waiting for their chances, Ashwin might not be preferred in the team in the upcoming days. Like Ravindra Jadeja, Ashwin might be asked to concentrate on Test cricket by the Indian management.
