3. Two back-to-back 20-20 World Cups
For the second time in the history of the tournament, two editions of the 20-20 World Cup are being played in the space of one year. Fans might remember that the tournament is supposed to be played after every two years. The first two editions were played within a year was from June 2009 to May 2010.
Once again, it happened in October last year and the next edition is slated in the same month this year. The reasons are genuine though as the pandemic had pushed the 2020 edition to the next year. This is the reason the teams haven’t preferred playing the ODI format this year.
