Team India is currently locking horns with West Indies in the five-match T20I series. The Men in Blue lost the first two T20Is of the series by 4 runs and by two wickets respectively. The visitors will be taking on the hosts in the third fixture of the series in order to open their account in the T20I series on Tuesday, August 8 at Providence Stadium, in Guyana.

Ahead of the third T20I, former India opener, Aakash Chopra has opined that Sanju Samson needs to utilize the chances that he’s getting otherwise players sitting outside which includes Jitesh Sharma, who is in great touch and can replace him. “Sanju Samson – don’t waste your chance. If you waste your chance, you will remember it later. It is not that if Ishan Kishan goes from the top, Sanju cannot go from below. Both can go and Jitesh Sharma can come,” Chopra was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

I have got no idea what is the solution for that issue: Aakash Chopra

The former right-hand batter thinks that Suryakumar Yadav should be more decisive while running between the wickets to avoid run-outs. “Suryakumar Yadav, you can’t doubt the player, got run out in one match. He should have said ‘No’ in the last match. It was a non-existent single. It was Ishan Kishan’s mistake, in my opinion, but whoever gets out in the end is at fault,” he asserted.

“So if Suryakumar had refused and in that if Ishan had gotten out, so be it. Surya getting out didn’t really work out for India. Tilak Varma is playing well at No. 4, so let’s not talk about him,” the commentator asserted. In the end, Chopra thinks that Hardik Pandya should bat more carefully as team India doesn’t have many batters after Axar Patel who bats at number 7.

“Hardik Pandya is going up and down. I don’t think he can bat with a lot of freedom because Axar Patel is at No. 7. He is getting to bat very early and a lot of overs are left. I have got no idea what is the solution for that issue. If there is no one, from where will you get the solution?”
